Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a conference table take?

Typical lead time on a large table is 8 to 10 weeks. If you need something sooner, tell us the date and we’ll work with your timeframe.

Do you accept government purchase cards?

Yes. We accept all major credit cards, including government purchase cards. We also invoice through Delphi eInvoicing.

Can you meet Buy American and domestic wood requirements?

Yes. Most of what we use, including the hardware, is made in the United States. Domestic species like walnut, cherry, white oak and ash are readily available, and every piece is built in Glen Cove, New York.

What registrations do you hold?

Active SAM.gov and CAGE registration. Registered on DIBBS (the Defense Logistics Agency Internet Bid Board System), Delphi eInvoicing, and as a New York State vendor.

How far do you deliver?

It depends on the project. If direct delivery in our own van isn’t practical, we crate the piece and ship anywhere in the United States, or to embassies abroad. The small Fort Knox table went to Kentucky in a crate. Sound Designs personnel can install anywhere in the US.

Do you provide drawings and samples?

Yes. Every project gets architectural drawings and finish samples for client review before we cut wood.

What’s the warranty?

Three years on structure, one year on finish, to the original purchaser. If your contract calls for more, we’ll work with you to meet the requirement.

Do you handle the power and data?

Power hub requirements are discussed before contracting. There are many different options.

What’s the minimum project size?

No minimum. We can build smaller pieces as needed.
