Hewlett Dining Table
2026
We tried something new. Here's what happened.
We don't normally work with big epoxy pours, but then this claro walnut slab came along and it asked for one.
The slab traveled all the way from sunny CA to find a second life at a home here on Long Island.
What we didn't know is that clear epoxy requires a lot of buffing. And more buffing. And just when you thought you were done, a little more buffing.
Was it worth it? We think so. What do you think?
Want to see some of our work in person? Come visit the shop.
PS. We did a ton of handcut bow ties on this table. 14 in all. One on top, and 13 working silently on the bottom. Sometimes bow ties are cool like that.
