Huntington Dining Table
2025
Live edge black walnut on black wishbone legs, made in 2025 for a home in Huntington, New York.
This top isn't one slab. We joined several walnut slabs to get the width the table needed, with crisp, tight glue lines, the same way you'd build a traditional straight edge table. It looks different from a single slab, and you get so much more variation in color.
The client already had walnut benches, so we chose the slabs to match them. Walnut can vary a lot in color and grain pattern. These sit together nicely, and at the end of the day it all works well.
The client wanted modern legs, nothing rustic or industrial. The wishbone legs fit the bill.
The chairs are modern pieces handmade in Italy, and they complement the live edge top.
