White Plains Mid-Century Table and Chairs, Refinished

Not everything we do is new.

Lorraine is an interior decorator based in Westchester who had worked with Joel on projects years ago. She owns a 1960 original prototype Cumberland Furniture dining table, and she reached out for help restoring it to its original condition.

It was still in decent shape, but the finish had faded over the years and it had some minor scrapes and other imperfections. We refinished it. Then we reinforced and restored her pair of 1953 Karpen of California lounge chairs.

These are antiques you can't replace, and she told us she wouldn't trust them to anyone she didn't have full confidence in.
